Of the countries that were colonized by Europe, which ones were "better off" before colonization?

ALL of them . colonization destroyed cultures. Tribes that had never before been together were forced to be part of new "countries"...initiating and exaggerating tribal fighting. People wew treated like children, not allowed to run their own country make their own decision. they were made helpless. They lost their traditional cultures. When they gained independence, they all went and are still going through terrlible growing pains. Colonialism is never for the benefit of the colony.
