What is wrong with my duck egg?

I have had a duck egg that I found by a creek for three weeks, and have been keeping it warm ever since. Today,I shined a flashlight on it and saw a little chick inside. I know it is alive, but sometimes a little yellow liquid comes out. Is this normal when a chick is hatching out of an egg or in the process of forming in an egg?
