What is Myrtle Creek, Oregon like?

I was visiting Roseburg and am probably moving there. I loved the whole area, but when I mentioned homes in Myrtle Creek, everyone I talked to told me I wouldnt want to move there. They never explained too much as to why, except its not a good area, etc...and now I am just wondering....why? Does anyone live there or have been there and have any insight on this? I have a family and now curiosity has gotten me, and I just really want to know. LOL
